Hi Rapids Families,

Happy Friday to you all! Couple reminders before we get to the meet on Tuesday:

1. NO practice on Memorial Day

2. We will practice Tuesday, June 1st in the morning to prepare for the meet

3. Opt-ins are DUE TODAY! We still have 18 swimmers that are UNDECLARED for the meet, please mark them as either attending or not attending by EOD TODAY.

Meet Details for Tuesday, June 1st against Brynwood:

• Attached is a pdf with the volunteers that are signed up to work the meet. Please review and let us know if you have any concerns ASAP with your position.
• VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED:
  • Head Timer  - 2nd Shift
  • Finish Judges (2 needed) - 2nd Shift
  • Timer - 2nd Shift
  • Stroke & Turn **need 4 officials
• DIRE NEED for Stroke & Turn Officials: We are in serious need of stroke & turn officials to work in our meets. This job does require certification but if you know the sport and the four strokes, it is a great job, always on the pool deck at meets. If you are interested, please let me know and I will send over the virtual training and virtual certification.
• Layout for the meet: Attached is a Google Earth Image of the Pool with the layout we are going to use for the meet. In this image: is where our swimmers will go, where Brynwood's will go and where our parents and their parents will be set up. Please make sure you review it, so you know the setup ahead of time.
• Parking: PLEASE BE KIND and let the visiting team have the closest parking spaces and park over at the Middle School. ALSO REMINDER: NO PARKING ON THE GRASS.
• IMPORTANT: If you are a timer, your job is the most important in the meet. Please make sure to attend the timer meeting at 5:30 to review proper timing technique and how to record times. This goes for 1st and 2nd half timers. If you cannot attend this meeting, please let me know and I will move you to another job.
• Badges for 1st and 2nd Half Volunteers: YOU HAVE TO CHECK-IN and get a volunteer badge. We will NOT pause the meet to swap out badges but will rather call for you to relieve the 1st half volunteer.

Timeline for Meet:

• 5pm - Warm-ups for Riverwood Swimmers
• 5:15pm - ALL 1st and 2nd Half Volunteers should be checked in AND HAVE A BADGE.
• 5:30pm - Warm-ups for Brynwood Swimmers
• 5:30pm - TIMERS MEETING by the Starter Table
• 5:45pm - Officials Meeting by the Starter Table
• 6pm - MEET START :)

Last but not least, we will have concessions available at this meet as well. We are in need of the following donations for concessions if anyone wants to grab these items this weekend: Diet Coke cans, Small Gatorades, and Plastic Gloves for serving food. As a reminder, concession sales help our team by keeping our registration costs low....so please COME HUNGRY!!

**The rest of the swim suit orders from Augusta Swim Supply are in, they are just working on the logos. We should have them either Tuesday morning or Tuesday at the meet.

**T-Shirt orders are being finalized, we hope to have these from our vendor by Tuesday as well!
