Hi Rapids!

We have a wonderful event coming up this Saturday for our young swimmers! If you recall, I posted a personal story on Facebook about our experience with going to a Melissa Meet when Lyla first started swimming.

If you are not familiar with a Melissa Meet, they are for swimmers that are newer to the sport and/or developing their skills. To be able to go to the meet: a swimmer cannot have qualified for the previous year's All-Star Meet, nor can they place 1st thru 3rd in any meet prior to the Coaches Meet. This meet is for the beginning swimmer (age 10 & under) who is DEVELOPING their confidence and swimming strokes. It is all about FUN, with the hope that some individual recognition may boost their interest, as well as their parents!

We have several swimmers that are going this Saturday morning to participate and they have been emailed separately regarding the meet.

If however, you would like to come out and cheer them on, volunteer at the meet, or just stop by and say hi...here are the details:

Warm-ups start at 8am and Meet will start at 9am. If you would like to come and help out or have a student that needs volunteer hours, please contact me at 540-420-1797 or reply to this email.
